چکیده
Aim: Lung cancer is the leading cause of mortality from across world. In this study, use serum nucleolin (NCL) and nucleophosmin (NPM1) levels as a marker in diagnosis, prognosis treatment response evaluation lung was investigated. Materials Method: NCL NPM1 samples taken before chemotherapy after 3-4 courses control group patients diagnosed with were studied using ELISA method. Results: Serum higher than controls (p = 0.085 for NCL, p 0.000 NPM1). by histopathologic type significantly adenocarcinoma squamous cell carcinoma < 0.05 each). view responses to chemotherapeutic agents, there statistically insignificant difference between values > Conclusion: High found correlate poor prognosis, low survival rate. It can be concluded that used diagnostic prognostic markers disease.

Background: Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a highly aggressive tumor. Objective: To evaluate the survival and time to progression of patients with SCLC admitted to a chest disease center in Istanbul, Turkey. متن کاملChromatin remodeling factors and BRM/BRG1 expression as prognostic indicators in non-small cell lung cancer.
We immunohistochemically examined 12 core proteins involved in the chromatin remodeling machinery using a tissue microarray composed of 150 lung adenocarcinoma (AD) and 150 squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) cases. Most of the proteins showed nuclear staining, whereas some also showed cytoplasmic or membranous staining. When the expression patterns of all tested antigens were considered, proteins wi...
متن کاملLack of PTEN expression in non-small cell lung cancer could be related to promoter methylation.
PURPOSE The PTEN gene at chromosome 10q23.3 is a tumor-suppressor genethat is inactivated in several types of human tumors. Althoughmutation and homozygous deletion are the most commonmechanisms of PTEN inactivation, promoter methylation and translational modification can also account for PTEN silencing. The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of PTEN protein in primary non-smal...

Abstract Background: Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers around the world. The aim of this study was to use Extended Cox Model (ECM) with Bayesian approach to survey the behavior of potential time-varying prognostic factors of Non-small cell lung cancer. Materials and Methods: Survival status of all 190 patients diagnosed with Non-Small Cell lung cancer referring to hospitals in ...

PURPOSE To evaluate treatment outcomes and prognostic factors in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients treated with concurrent chemoradiation. MATERIALS AND METHODS From January 2005 to June 2009, 51 patients were treated with concurrent chemoradiation for 3 different aims: locally advanced stage III, locally recurrent disease, and postoperative gross residual NSCLC. Median age was 63 y...
